Cultivating Beauty… Beyond the Garden
After years independently wandering the vast landscapes of the West—across the Sierra Nevada, through Pacific forests, and along countless miles of unfamiliar roads—we found each other, and now, together, our way back to Florida. We returned to be closer to family, to build meaningful community, and to pour our craft into creating spaces of beauty and belonging.
We are Charlie and Jocelyn, the founders of SaintScapes.
From our first camping trip in Mammoth, it was clear we shared an instinct for shaping the outdoors into places of comfort and connection. [We’re in the backcountry, a blank naturescape, no pre-established campsite— as I follow my usual method to build camp, I notice Charlie leading his own initiative tinkering installations that transformed untouched ground into a warm, welcoming home—proof, together we can build an abundant life rooted in creativity and purpose.] (This follows the clout he gained when I learned he cooks with a well-season cast-iron skillet.)
We met while working at a ski resort in Lake Tahoe and eloped shortly after. A simple Sunday afternoon celebration with family in Florida reminded us where we truly belong. Shortly after, we packed our life into the car and began the path toward our true calling: SaintScapes.
To us, a garden is more than a collection of plants. It is a space for reflection—a place where stories unfold, families gather, and an opportunity to realign with one-self.
SaintScapes was founded to share this belief. We create outdoor environments that bring harmony and presence and help remind us how life holds such nuanced beauty.

Meet Charlie: The Problem-Solving Builder
For me, landscaping is a familiar rhythm—one I first learned at 12 years old while mowing lawns in my Jacksonville neighborhood. It followed me to Florida State University, where I launched “Mowing Grass Between Class.”
After a chapter in commercial insurance, the call of the outdoors drew me back—this time to San Francisco, where I transitioned to creative landscape design, managing complex projects for remarkable clients. Whether leading operations at a ski resort or running my own business, I’ve always embraced the challenge of creating something from nothing. Resourceful, energetic, and endlessly inventive—I solve problems the way some people solve puzzles.
Meet Jocelyn: The Designer & Grounding Force
Jocelyn brings a heritage of craftsmanship and an understanding of the land. Raised by a Master Gardener and a contractor, she grew up with respect for environmental balance and the value of thoughtful work.
Before we met, she owned a thriving salon in Tennessee and later transitioned into the event industry—building infrastructure for festivals across the West and sharpening her eye for design. She is the grounding force of our team: patient, meticulous, and intentional. Every plant she places is chosen with purpose. Every detail she shapes is executed with care.
Rooted Again. Ready to Grow.
We are grateful to be home and honored to do what we love. We cannot wait to help you cultivate a landscape that feels deeply your own.
